At Alpaca, we build many things from scratch without relying on legacy technology in the financial industry. In many applications we build, PostgreSQL is the center of transaction management and we heavily use it for things from brokerage accounting system to order management system. We are looking for skilled database/business logic engineer(s) with seasoned experiences building applications around PostgreSQL. Our backend application system is written in Go.
You will be writing Go, PL/pgSQL, and plenty of raw SQL using different techniques (window functions, CTE, btree_gist, etc) as well as identifying bottlenecks and tuning the performance to achive agile development of our fast moving business.
