PropelAuth provides end-to-end managed user authentication and lets your users manage their own accounts and teams. Our mission is to get our customers back to working on their core product as quickly as possible.
About the role
We're looking for our first Developer Relations hire to help us build the best authentication experience for startups.
We are early so this role is fairly open ended. We'll work with our hire to craft it to their interests and skill set.
If you're passionate about making complex problems easy to understand and removing roadblocks from your customer's experiences, this job is for you. As one of the main lines of communication with our customers you will have the opportunity to greatly influence the direction of our product.
Responsibilities may include:
- Finding out where our potential customers spend their time, and spreading the word about PropelAuth - this may include attending conferences and meetups, either as a guest or speaker
- Gaining a deep understanding of our customers' wants and needs in order to advocate for them when product planning
- Publishing content, like blog posts, tutorials, videos, and demo applications
- Maintaining our documentation, along with engineering, and making sure it's up to date and easy to understand
What we look for from you:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Always on the lookout for new ways to connect with developers
- Ability to consolidate and communicate feedback
- Ability to work independently - we're a small team, so the role will be largely self-directed
- 3+ years working experience - there are many backgrounds that would help you succeed here: developer relations, development, community management, technical writing, etc
Working With Us:
- We're a remote-first team, but prefer to hire in the PST timezone
- We provide standard benefits - health insurance, PTO, etc
- We strongly believe in hiring employees that are experts at what they do, and that our job is to support each other
PropelAuth provides end-to-end managed user authentication and lets your users manage their own accounts and teams.
We have a focus on B2B features that make it easy for an end user to sign up, create and manage their own organization in your product, invite their co-workers, and so on. This includes roles within the organization (RBAC).
We provide frontend and backend libraries where organizations are a first class concept, and we handle everything you need for authentication.
