Frontend Engineer - Remote

We recently launched our latest temperature-regulated smart bed, the Pod Pro. It's an absolute game changer, improving people's health and happiness by changing the way they sleep. Early feedback is great, but we still have a long way to go toward achieving our mission.

That is why Eight Sleep is looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to join our team, with responsibilities spanning our consumer website, marketing and analytics systems, and online member experience. How you'll contribute

• Build a best-in-class ecommerce storefront that accelerates growth and serves as a compelling first touchpoint for our future members.
• Collaborate with designers to craft beautiful, intuitive, and accessible experiences.
• Analyze user behavior and build A/B tests to optimize key performance metrics and drive growth
• Implement the latest testing frameworks to ensure our products work for all of our users
• Build reusable and scalable components that lay the foundation for our growing team

About you

• You are obsessed with detail, and love shipping intuitive and delightful consumer experiences
• You’re excited about the health and fitness technology space and the opportunity to measurably improve lives.
• You have the desire to make an outsized impact as part of a rapidly growing, dynamic team.
• You love thinking about things from the customer’s perspective and trying to understand what motivates and drives decision making.
• You have a BA/BS in Computer Science, or commensurate experience from a coding bootcamp or similar.
• You have side projects or a portfolio of work that you’re excited to tell us about.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience working collaboratively with designers to ship highly polished consumer experiences using modern JS frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
• Experience maintaining web applications in production, with considerations including security, session management, accessibility, and other best practices.
• Familiarity with AB testing and web analytics tools (eg Optimizely, Google Analytics, Amplitude) used to optimize user interfaces
• BA/BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Bonus: experience building web animations and complex data visualizations
