Computers are the most powerful tools to exist in the history of humanity. Sadly, most people are mere consumers of these machines. Only a relative few—the professional software developers—can use this superpower to its fullest extent. As a result, it's creating an unbalanced world where there are those who program and those who consume programs.
Replit wants to change that dynamic by bringing the next billion software creators online.
Replit empowers beginners and experienced programmers alike. We’re looking for a marketer to join our remote team and help us make Replit, first, the default place for everyone around the world to learn how to code, and eventually, the default place for everyone to write code and share their creations.
Success will look like getting us organized and disciplined (while maintaining creativity), improving Replit's brand awareness and signup/conversion metrics, and if that goes well, growing the team and owning the marketing function as Replit scales.
To achieve our mission of making programming more accessible around the world, we need our team to be representative of the world. We welcome your unique perspective and experiences in shaping this product. We encourage people from all kinds of backgrounds to apply, including and especially candidates from underrepresented and non-traditional backgrounds.
We're building a first of its kind developer platform that can be used to learn and practice programming, build and deploy applications, and share and discuss with a community of peers. We realize this is an ambitious plan, but we think it's high time someone built this. There is no good reason for the insane fragmentation in programming tools today -- someone learning to code needs to learn at least ten disjointed tools and platforms to do anything interesting with programming.
