About Panorama:

More than 1,500 school systems serving 15 million students across all 50 states have adopted our platform to understand students’ academic and social-emotional strengths and to identify those in need of additional support. School systems turn to our suite of tools to ensure that every child gets the support they need, including school climate and social-emotional learning surveys, tiered intervention planning, and professional development.

Panoramians can choose to work fully remote anywhere within the Continental United States, in-person from our Boston/San Francisco offices, or a hybrid option.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of all finance functions, including financial planning & analysis, reporting, accounting, treasury, and tax
  • Identify and address systems and process gaps and implement technology, software, and new processes in order to increase transparency, speed and automation, and ultimately improve financial planning and reporting
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to fully understand, communicate, and influence the operating drivers of financial performance
  • Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP
  • Manage tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes
  • Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs
  • Develop and coordinate all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
  • Play key leadership role in any fundraising and/or corporate development activities
  • Coordinate, prepare and present Board meeting presentations and other Investor Relations materials
  • Work with the Head of FP&A, Director of Strategy & Corporate Development, and executive leaders to define long-, medium-, and short-term company strategy informed by financial and business analysis
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Finance and Accounting team 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business required (or equivalent experience); MBA preferred

  • 15+ years progressive finance and/or accounting experience

  • Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with their team and cross-functional business partners to drive growth and efficiency for the business

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize vast amounts of information, develop high quality analytics and communicate clearly and succinctly to different audiences (from company all-hands business leaders to executives to investors)

  • Ability to set and work with team to execute repeatable budget, forecasting, and accounting close cadences, while also making regular process improvements to drive efficiency

  • Ability to work with and manage team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Strong attention to detail and accountability to ensuring that team’s analysis is accurate and actionable 

  • Ability to roll up sleeves and take on tasks at all levels

  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles 

  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS metrics

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast cash and lead team and cross-functional partners to drive timely cash collections

  • Prior people management experience

  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters and information

  • B2B SaaS Experience
