About us:
RevenueCat makes building, analyzing and growing mobile subscriptions easy. We launched as part of Y Combinator's summer 2018 batch and today are handling more than $1.2B of in-app purchases annually across thousands of apps.
We are a mission driven, remote-first company that is building the standard for mobile subscription infrastructure. Top apps like VSCO, Notion, and ClassDojo count on RevenueCat to power their subscriptions at scale.
Our 40 team members (and growing!) are located all over the world, from San Francisco to Madrid to Taipei. We're a close-knit, product-driven team, and we strive to live our core values: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.
We are looking for an engineer whose focus will be on the software needs of RevenueCat as an organization and the teams within. You will work with the CEO, the CTO, Sales, Marketing and Operations to build tools that us ship faster and smarter, and ultimately grow the business.
About you:
- You love building reliable systems from scratch, scoping and implementing projects end-to-end
- You are comfortable working with different codebases and third party APIs (e.g. Python, Looker, Salesforce, Hubspot)
- You are experienced writing, debugging, and building things with SQL
- You have experience building data oriented internal software that helps companies move fast
- You enjoy building software for internal customers over external ones
- You are an excellent written and verbal communicator
- You rarely get blocked and know when to seek assistance, and it's typically to discuss tradeoffs
- You want to work independently and move fast, while following development best practices
In the first month, you'll:
- Work directly with the CTO to take ownership of our existing data glue infrastructure and internal tools
- Meet with leaders in Sales, Support, Ops, Product and Marketing to understand current needs and pain points
- Start implementing our new go-to-market (GTM) stack from scratch
Within the first 3 months, you'll:
- Ship a new system for propagating customer data within our GTM tech stack
- Take engineering ownership of our analytics stack and remove data blindspots for the GTM teams
- Build and ship a platform for internal tools
Within the first 6 months, you'll:
- Be the most knowledgable person on our internal software and BI data stack
- Conceive, design, and build new software we didn't know we needed
- Be a little too popular with our sales, support, product, and ops teams
Within the first 12 months, you'll:
- Hire and mentor (and maybe manage, if you're into that) the next tools engineer
- Own a roadmap of software that will remove constraints as we move past 100 employees
What we offer:
- $164,500 - $196,100 USD salary regardless of your location
- Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series B startup backed by top tier investors including Y Combinator
- 10 year window to exercise vested equity options
- Fully remote work environment that promotes autonomy and flexibility
- Unlimited paid time off to prioritize mental, physical, and emotional health
- $2,000 USD to build your personal workspace
- $1,000 USD annual stipend for your continuous learning and growth
