About the role

AtoB (atob.com) is building Stripe for Transportation -- modernizing payments in the trucking industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage startup working in a huge industry with over a trillion dollars in transaction flow. Trucking is the backbone of the American economy and we have identified opportunities to replace the broken payments infrastructure & help small businesses.

We have raised over $100 million in venture capital from investors such as General Catalyst, Bloomberg Beta, Y Combinator; founders and CEOs of companies like Google (Eric Schmidt), Salesforce (Mark Benioff), Coinbase, DoorDash, Instacart, Segment, Gusto, Figma; CxOs and founding team members of Uber, PayPal and Stripe; angels like Elad Gil, Naval Ravikant, Gokul Rajaram; and ESG funds such as Climate Capital, Human Capital, Leadout among others.

Our founding team has backgrounds working on autonomous vehicles at Cruise Automation, leading ops and growth for Uber, Amazon, DoorDash, Square, McKinsey, Facebook, and Goldman Sachs among others. We are excited to open up more seats in this rocket ship!

In this role, you will:

  • Drive new up-sell revenue from a dedicated book of SMB customers (fleet owners) through proactive outreach.
  • Develop deep relationships with clients and become their trusted advisor in the AtoB product.
  • Become a product authority, able to walk business owners through all of AtoB's offerings and show them how it will improve their business results.
  • Identify and unlock opportunities for growth in business clients' spending with AtoB.
  • Maintain clients' spending by actively monitoring accounts and investigating changes in payment volume and payment issues.
  • Manage and affect retention through performing churn mitigation activities (i.e. calling non-responsive customers)
  • Partner with Underwriting and Financial Operations teams to hasten resolution of payment issues.
  • Gather product feedback and make recommendations to the Product and Engineering teams

We’re looking for someone who:

  • 3+ years of experience in account management with demanding SMB clientele, held accountable for driving new up-sell revenue from these accounts.
  • 1+ years of experience in SMB sales.
  • Adept at working cross-functionally and building close rapport.
  • Deep listener with a track record of building trusted partnerships with clients.
  • Superior business intuition and naturally curious about B2B payments and the SMB landscape
  • Strong aptitude in CRM (Salesforce, Zendesk) and Excel a plus.
  • Background in payments, fintech, transportation industry a plus

Compensation This role will start on a 1099 contract basis, with $60-75K in base pay (DOE) + performance-based bonus Location: Remote — wherever you want (as long as you can overlap with US customer work hours!)
